99 SLK 230 - US Model
Red face

I have a 1999 SLK 230 and changed the plugs, start to finish, including cleanup, in 25 minutes. Just a few basic tools.

Whether or not you do it, I strongly suggest you use the correct, MB specified spark plugs.

Enjoy!

I replaced mine in 2001 SLK 230 last year - I think the dealer wanted $160 for replacing them and it took me about 30 minutes and 4 Bosch Platinum-4 B4417 plugs from local auto shop. I have a detailed installation instructions w/pics in german and an english translation which I think I got from mbslk.de forum but was very helpful. You will need a torque wrench for this. PM me if you want the docs.
