Location of PCV in M111
Mods, please don't delete!
Sorry to put my Coupe question here, but some of your models have my M111 engine.
Okay, I can't find the PCV anywhere. I went to the Benz parts dept, and they can't look it up by that name.
I'm getting oil into my S/C and therefore all through my intake. My best guess is because of the PCV. If anyone has any other ideas, I'd love to hear it. From what I can see, there are only two places that the oil could be coming from.
This pic shows the S/C and the plenum removed. One of these lines disappears behind the mounting bracket for the S/C.
As I was saying, one of these two lines is the culprit, I can't see another way for the MAF to be getting to much oil.
Any help is mucho appreciated.
Ed

There's a check valve that goes into the filter box (at least on an SLK) that when clogged can cause the problem you describe. Also on my website there's an SLK guide that has a parts locator that may help.

Buell;
Once again you sweep in to save my butt.
Here is the black plenum that rests above the S/C.
This picture shows what hoses attach to what.
The piece that these hoses attaches to is molded into that whole black thing. So I would have to replace the whole thing minus the actuator mounted on the end. (You can't really see that in these pics)
What do you think would happen if I attached the crankcase hose to the valve cover hose. I was reading about negative pressure, etc on another thread.
I have so looked for check valves etc, but no luck seeing anything that looks like a valve, or where the EGR is located at.
Argh!!!

SLK-230
MAF woes
Ok, so I have a 2003 SLK-230.
At about 40K miles I started getting P0101 and oil in the MAF.
Cleaned it and things were good - for a while.
I've cleaned the oil separator - even removed the entire "S/C muffler" assembly and cleaned it thoroughly (there was a pool of oil in it).
Now I clean it and within days I have problems again.
The symptom is the motor "surging" around 2800RPM.
Feels like the car is being tugged by a string. About once per second.
At idle, it floats between 400 and 800RPM.
Before I replace the MAF, I want to solve the oiling issue.
I've seen some references to a "part load ventilation check valve" (PCV?)
but I can't locate it.
Help!
If it means anything to anyone, the symptoms seem to only happen when I drive home from work. Never on the trip to work.
The car is garaged at night, and out in the sun during the day.
So I guess it's warmer when I drive home if that could have anything to do with it....

oil too light?
I had this problem with my m111 when I got mine, in that there was oil everywhere in the intake system.
I've lowered the oil level to less than full(it was overfull on mine when I got it)
I ran a heavier oil(20W60) and problem solved.
Unfortunately, I know this, as I've had my maf off 6 times since...
I wonder if mechanics are putting a light (newer spec) oil into these older blown engines?
A new Genuine maf did help fueling on my car,(DIDN'T STOP MY CODES COMING UP THOUGH)
I'd solve the oil problem first, before covering your new maf in oil...
