Exhaust Question

This may seem silly, but I couldn't find an answer using the Search function:

Seeing as how the SLK 320 has a tuned exhaust system, (which i assume is tuned for the V6, but nevertheless) is it physically the same dimensions as the 230 exhaust?

If not, what is the difference?

If so, couldn't the 320 system be hooked up to a 230? I wonder if it would yield any difference in performance +/- or at least in sound?

Anyone?

Its the same standard system AFAIK but the 320 includes a front resonator.

Interesting. So I assume it wouldn't be worthwhile to buy a 320 muffler and attempt to fit it to a 230? Do you know if there would be a difference in sound?
