Just bought a 1996 SLK230
Is she really a 1996 SLK230?
Hey ya'l,
I'm a total noob, but I've just joined the club, and bought an SLK230. (aptly named Silky by my bride-to-be)
So, I have loads of questions (like what do I have to do to get the dual climate controls to work independantly)... but I'll stick the post topic so I don't get told off...
My new car was advertised as a 1996, and all the papers say she is a 1996, but I didn't think they existed in 1996!?
So, she is a 1996 SLK230 Kompressor AMG... or is she!?

Unfortunately no SLK230 AMGs, other than badgeing
Aussie and UK markets used the badge for if AMG wheels and trim fitted.
Check ID label on door jamb for build date.
Check next post for climate contol probs.
