SLK/R170: Slk + G = Glk ?

OLD: 2004 C230 Sport Sedan, NEW: 2007 SLK350
Slk + G = Glk ?
Some of you may have heard about the upcoming GLK compact SUV that was also supposed to be known as the X-Class or the MLK, to compete against BMW X3 and similar compact SUVs.
I'm assuming that X wasn't chosen because of BMW's X3 and X5.
And MLK just looks like Dr. King's initials.
Anyway, have you ever seen this:

Looks like a raised SLK built to go offroad. I doubt that the actual GLK will look anything like this or whether this was even used to design the upcoming GLK.

That's an old story, guy wrote a book. These days with speed bumps everywhere, every housewife in 2-3 ton SUVs, you need something more than an SLK to survive. It's good see someone with taste that doesn't yield to the idea that cars must be lowered to look good.

Yes, I realize that it's old... after all, it was based on the R170 SLK when it was new.
But it's news to me, and I just found out about it this week, while reading the Wikipedia article about the upcoming GLK... looks like people just copied/pasted random facts into the article since little information is available on the new compact SUV.
