SLK/R170: ASP pulley.......
You can actually order it direct from ASP because your car is 2002 C230. People that have pre-2000 Slk 230 and older C230 with "kompressor" need to go through me because i have a complete kit for it. But i'm still willing to help you if you still want me to order the ASP pulley and belt for you. Just drop me an e-mail at ldnguyen1970@hotmail.com
Did you see what Kleemann is working on now? A complete S/C replacement for the Eaton M45 used in our cars. $3,000 for 300HP. Add an intecooler and maybe 325-350HP is possible. Now you'll be able to almost keep up with the SLK32s! He says it will be ready in 2 weeks. Of course he always says 2 weeks, need to get him a calendar for Christmas.

I'm not that stupid to install a new 300 hp S/C kit in my car without a larger intercooler. It very good idea from Kleemann since he can't sell anymore pulley kit for the Slk because of ASP pulley.
The mojor reason for changing the SC is that EATONS are raging pieces of junk- very hot discharge temps at boost pressures over 7 psi. SOOOO... If temps are lowered by, say, 50% the standard intercooler has LESS to do. Not to forget the HP required to turn an EATON- its huge.
Good news for you is that we wont be making a SC replacement for the MY99's.

The "5 weeks to get mine" ASP pulley has done nothing to dampen our sales. In fact last months pulley sales were actually up. It will be a cold day in hades before a cheaper knock off pulley that takes 5 weeks to get supercedes the real McCoy- my .02 cents.

The EATON SC is a roots type correct, Do you happen to know what size is the OEM crank pulley is ?
Also what size is your pulley.

What kind of re-worked ECU come with the Kleemann kits ?

Our SC system would negate the need for a cranlk pulley.
I do not remeber the stock pulley size off the top of my head. I can post that data on Monday- Ill measure a stock pulley for you.

ROFL- nice one linh.
The entire principle behind the SC conversion is to dump the awful ROOTS (Eaton) SC- they are inefficent as the day is long and their discharge temps are astounding at "high" boost (over 7 psi). A screw comporessor of the same displacement operating at the same boost (lets say 10psi) will have approximately 25% less temp delta than a Roots.
Lower power requirement to drive the SC and lower temps will result in a power increase at the existing boost level.
Those of you with a 6speed gearbox will certainly be interested in the performance data from our alloy flywheel which sheds 25+ lbs from the flywheel and includes a higher clamping force pressure plate and disc.l

I have a 99 SLK230K with a 5 speed manual, will you be providing a flywheel for this transmission and also will the supercharger replacement be available for my car I"m looking to get most of the work done to my car in Mid July if you will be releasing the supercharger for my car in the next year I would be willing to wait or is it not likely that you will make a kit to fit it to the 99 model?
Sincerly,
Jonathan
