Has anyone had a dash kit installed. I have a '99 SLK 230 with the black carbon fibre dash and was looking for alternatives. Maybe a dark wood trim or brushed metal look. If anyone has pics if installed kits, that would be awesome.

I installed a kit on my 99. I used Joshua Tree (supplier) dark walnut. They have all sorts of options. The kit went on easy and cost a little more than $300.00. I have traded the car and am now looking for the factory parts to upgrade my 03. You may try a dealer for the wood that comes in the SLK320.

Wood in an SLK? i dunno doesnt seem right, just me i guess. I loved the CF in mine and had a CF brabus steering wheel as well.

I have the wood that came standard in my SLK320 and I like it a lot. With the SLK driving position, dash, the short-throw stick, aluminium pedals, you never forget you're driving a roadster, it just makes me think of very high-end roasters like the XK8 and so on.
