Your SLK has a bit more torque 8lbs but where the SLK spanks the Coupe is it has 200lbs from 2,500 RPMs to 4,800 RPMs the '03 Coupe has 192lbs but it doesn't hit this max untill 3,500 RPMs(1,000 RPMs later than the SLK) and runs out at 4,000 RPMs(800 RPMs sooner then the SLK), PLUS the 03' Coupe is 275 lbs heavier. Also this may not be a factor but the 6sp in the '03 coupe might have different gearing then the 5sp in your SLK.

2002 C230 K
I forgot to mention this:
I think MBUSA converted the torque figures for the 2001+ SLK230 and 2002 C230 wrong as well. According to every number I've ever seen (except MBUSA ) the final versions of the M111 have 280 Nm of torque, which is ~207 lbs-ft, not 200.
Cheers, BT
PS: The SLK230 and C230 6-speeds are geared the same.
