SLK 230 Kompressor Spark Plug
I heard from my repairer and they told me that SLK230 Kompressor must use Bosch F7KTCR otherwise there may have problems such as instable idling,.... Is it ture?
What spark plug are you guys using? Is there performance spark plug available? I know about Nippon Denso IK20 may be suitable, but I am not sure whether I should try.
Any comments??

Try asking on the BenzWorld SLK forum. There are a couple guys over there that changed plugs after installing a pulley upgrade.

i just bought my 1999 mercedes slk only 54,000 miles i was reading up on these cars and they say it should run 0-60 somewhere around 7-8 sec. well bad news mine runs 0-60 in about 12-13 sec very week and when i have the brakes on and put it in reverse or drive it shakes alot . other then that it cruises pretty smooth at 60-65 mph. does anyone think my plugs are bad maybe im running on 3 cylinders

The first thing I would do is throw in a couple of fuel cleaner tins in the gas tank and check the throttle valve etc. clean with special spray.
Hope this helps and would not cost an arm and a leg to do.
If your problem still persist than you can go to look at other things.
Changing the sparkplugs is not to hard and there are a few post on how to do that.
Sparkplugs for the SLK 230 are Bosch FR7KTC.
