04 SLK320 Special Edition
Buying one this weekend. 37K miles. Really clean car. Anything special I should know about it? I've looked high and low online and not found anything glaring. The taillights have already been replaced under the recall. Thanks.

Hello
Make sure the int dome light fades off when door is closed,and all the locking works, Look at trunk floor and look for any sign's of water at any time, all these are to do with the PSE pump, But should have been turned upsidedown dy 04 so should be fine.
Have a good look at the trim, the color is painted on and marks quite easy, door pulls, round key slot in dash and by seat belt rec point.
Make sure all the dash works well, As a battery swap can kill the dash, or make it funky.
Have a look under the car at the diff plate, look for any leaks.
If it has cd changer make sure it works, Seems to have probs there.
And do some low speed full lock turns and left to right ( like slalom ) turns, listen for any clunks.
But dont let that list worry you they are great cars, I have not had to spend a penny on mine, Been a great car.
Just keep the drains clear Two in trunk shut, Two under the hood ( last two harder to get to )
