SLK/R170: CEL and code P0410
Secondary injection system fault.
1. circuit relay?
2.Check connector wiring?
3. AIR pump defective or hose blocked
The wife took it to work a few hours later and called me sayng the car hesistated a few times when giving it gas.Nothing big and no CEL.
I wonder if I didn't get the airbox back together right?
I'm not one to fix what is not broken so I'l leave it alone. If it throws the light again, then I'll pull that valve.
I currently have the exact same situation, except mine is a 320. I recently replaced the Crankshaft position sensor, the Camshaft position sensor, and the MAF sensor (all with brand new Bosch items. no cheap ebay knockoffs). So I'm not sure what else could be causing this issue.
Background:
I bought a new Jeep in August and wanted to spend some time getting to know her, so my SLK ended up sitting for about 2 months and when I tried to start it a couple of weeks ago, the battery was dead. I used a drip charger to recharge the battery and after about 4 hours is cranked over, but was running rough. I figured it was just b/c the ECM got reset. I've put about 120 miles on it since the recharge, so that should be more than enough for the ECM to fully reset. I now have a CEL. Took it to Autozone today and got the P0410 code.
I've searched this forum, but can't find any sold answers on how to fix this problem (especially on a 320). I noticed above you talk about a check value. What/where is this on a 320? What can I use to clean it?
Right now, my most important thing is getting this code elliminated so the car can be inspected. It is already pass due. I took it on Saturday but there weren't enough miles on the ECM to complete the inspection. I have 15 days to fix this problem and hope for no other CEL issues, or I have to pay for ANOTHER inspection.
Thanks for your help.
