2002 SL500 Verizon bluetooth compatible phone?
Recently purchased a 2002 SL500 and want to use the available in car phone option. What Verizon phones are compatible with my model? Thanks.
Update: For anyone with the same model, here is the list of compatible phones, according to Mercedes USA. I guess I goofed on the topic title, since apparently this isn't bluetooth.
*Note: v60 adapter required to sync phone and car (if no adapter included, you will have to have one installed. v60 adapter CAN be installed by your dealer. If you want a 3rd party option see: www.wireless4mb.com
Go to connectivity option> SL500 (v60 cradle adapter)
Compatible phones:
Motorola K1 (Krazr)
Motorola V3m (Razr
Motorola Q
Motorola E815
Motorola v710
Motorola Razr V3c
Blackberry 8830
Motorola Q9
Motorola Rockr
Motorola Razr v9m (latest Razr)
Update: Mercedes tells me that I have a v60 motorola adapter and that I need to purchase a compatible motorola phone. They read me the list above list.
My local dealer Mercedes of San Diego tells me that due to the governmental switch from analog to digital only, that I will not be able to simply plug in a phone into the v60 adapter cradle. They tell me that I have to purchase a bluetooth adapter for $400 and with the adapter, I will be able to use any bluetooth cell phone.
What the heck are they talking about? Does anyone know what I need to do, or who I should believe? I don't see how the govt switching to digital, affects the setup in my car. Thanks!
