traction control switch
I am looking to install a switch that would totally disengage the traction control on a slk 230K but the switch would allow it to be turned on and off thus it could be turned off for racing and dyno pulls, but left on during daily driving. does anyone have any ideas?
I was thinking if it is just a binary signal i.e. on or off, it would be possible to program a chip with a basic if then algorithm and integrate the switch into the board granted I don't think I would want to spend the time to put it into an integrated circut but It could easily be done on a proto board and then hide the protoboard somewhere in the dash and run the switch out from there. Let me know if anyone knows what wire to tap into if this will work or anyother ideas.
Thanks in advance

I honestly don't know, but I suspect if it was that easy, there would have been cheap mods to do this a long time ago considering M-Bs with ESP have been shipping in volume since 1997.

I remember Road & Track disableling the ARS on a SL600 so they could do a smoky burnout for the cover, it was one of their 0-100-0 tests.

I think they had to pull a fuse or a relay, with the ASR hitting the switch only defeats the throttle control portion, not the breaking part. The brakes still activate on the wheel that is slipping.
