SLK heater controls malfunction
The left hand roller heater control does not seem to function - remaining on full heat whatever the setting. The right control works normally.
Any ideas about this please ? Also how to get at these controls behind the dash !

SLK 320
I have the same problem, 2001 SLK 320. Does anyone have a schematic/parts diagram of the heating system for the early SLK?
In my case it seems the heater/AC works fine but there is hot air from under the dash on left side even when all is in the off position. Even with the top down it becomes unbearably hot in the drivers seat. Also in the "outside" vent position even on a cool day heat comes out of the vents.

I have the same issues. You can check other forums, but indications are more to the heater duo control valve under the hood. if the valve is not operating correctly, it is a constant breath of hot air. "Parrot of Doom" has a good article, with step by step pictures for the repair.

Cost of the part depends on web or store source, anywhere from $185 - $230. Good luck
