Cam Adj Recall
My cam adjuster has been leaking. MB USA put out a recall 2009100001 DEC 09. The info is dealer to replace camshaft solenoids and install additional adapter connector harnesses, to prevent oil to wick in wire loom in the future. If have a 2001 which is part of the recall.
My question what else will it cover. Oil has wicked in the wire loom all the back to the 02 sensor connector. Do not know if it has entered the ECU. With all this oil in the wire loom will this still be a problem if they only do the new cam adjuster and blocker and other items damaged will or will not be replaced.
