Auto Transmission Behaviour
Lately, my auto transmission has been downshifting with a pronounce jerk under the following conditions:
1. When approaching stops
2. When going up steep slopes
All these only happen when the car is traveling at a relatively slow speed.
Kickdown at high speed and during overtaking is normal.
Has anyone had the same problem? Any suggestions as to what could be the cause and the solution?
As my car is no longer under warranty, I do not want the dealer to perform any expensive ‘repairs’ without solving the problem which very often happens.
