slk230 kompressor power loss (no guts)
hi new to the forum in need of advice. recently garaged our merc 230 because the car had lost power when accelerating basically feels like a 1.0 litre. no fault codes have come up apparently however the garage that it went to said that it was a gearbox problem. have had the gearbox repaired by a specialist which replaced the speed plate. which was leaking oil up the wiring loom. however the car still feels gutless when accelerating and when putting the pedal to floor the car loses its power and hesistates. stuck for ideas atm can anyone help please. could it be ht leads, ecu, spark plugs fuel filter???? help would be appreciated

Hi Marty
Yes did find the problem it was the cat breaking up I removed it got the material out from inside re fitted and now goes like a train thanks for your reply Sean
