Crux Body Kit - Opinions?
First time I'm posting on this forum. Hope this shows up properly.
Here is a Crux body kit. What do you guys think? Unfortunately, I haven't got more pictures. Supposedly, it's made in Japan. I was thinking of getting it if it's not too expensive...

My opinion.....no thank you! That's a little too outrageous IMO and will definitely take away from the classiness. Also, IMO, it's a little rough around the edges, not very refined. But to each his own, if it makes you happy then go for it Personally, I like the Wald kit.

I agree with RedSLKChic. It makes the car look too much like a cheap American "wannabe." How about the sport package? Was that available for your model year?

Yeah, I like the Wald design too, but it's kinda plain. The pics of the black SLK I've seen before too...was comtemplating about that long ago, but it looked too del Sol like (ie, riced up). I guess that's the problem w/ a lot of these J-kits...makes the car lose it's classy look.
It's really hard finding a decent priced kit w/out going for something full blown (ie, Lorinser, AMG...). I know a custom kit is probably do-able, but it'll cost quite a lot...
I would like the front to be like the Fab Design SL (which I'm sure many of you have seen).
I've long been looking for a decently priced kit (either snap-on like the original post, or completely done, like the Fab Design) but have had little success...anybody found anything? (I've seen Wald, Fab, Opera, AMG, Lorinser, Brabus...to name a few).
Furthermore, does anybody have any idea what these are made of? (Fibreglass, polyurethane or HPP Plastic?)
Any kewl input would be appreciated...the urge to add components to one's car is always so tempting.

Wow, that black SLK takes the cake! lmao
But I admit the spoiler on the silver one wouldn't be half bad if it didn't have those 2 extra pieces hanging down over the trunk. But the kit is one big mess
Yamakake - Yeah the Wald is kinda plain. But like my previous car, I like a kit that people who see it are not sure if it came like that from the factory, but it looks a little different from the others.....you know what I mean? lol Just a subtle hint of a little something extra From the looks of Wald's website, looks like they are all made out of Fiberglass. I was kinda hoping for Polyurethane. And I think they only make kits for the 98-99 SLK unless I am missing something

After painting and installation your talking around $4,000 for a body kit? I dont know, I guess that's just me though

I talked to Hedin Bil here in Sweden who are the local Benz dealer and they said that the SLK32 AMG front bumper only fits cars produced after 03/01. I agree $4K for the whole SLK32 bodykit is way to much money would rather buy brakes front and rear for $5,5K intstead
