ummmmm...slr?
Yea, those crossfires are nice. They are the type of the chrome SL in the MB calender. I would definately consider getting those type for my car....but I'm thinking about other upgrades right now......

00 ML55, AMG
One final post before I leave this thread forever. This is our tenth or eleventh MB and it's been a great one. I'm 68 so it will slew the age group some. But, it's really my wifes car and she's a lot younger (60). We have really enjoyed the SLK and all the info and posts that are found on this thread. We traded ours for a ML55 (2000) but theres not much about them on the ML thread. But we are going to move there anyway and see what comes up. You all enjoy the SLK's
Bye.

I hit the demographic, and a bit about being underpowered...
SLK230. 42 when I bought it (male). When I loaned it for months to my very young looking female friend (looks 25 to 30) she was very self conscious about all the looks she got when driving it (and a few comments as well!).
As far as being underpowere, how about a 300$ sofware upgrade that makes it more powerfull than the slk320 and get better gas mileage?

SLK 230 Limited Edition
Farewell
Hey fellas,
I did not know that my simple question would be answered for so many years. Well, I'm not 20 anymore--I am 22 now. I was 17 when I got my SLK 230 Limited Edition. It's saved my life twice (2000 and 2002)and I am very thankful for that. My term on my warranty was fast coming to an end and I decided it was time to give the SLK away. I gave it away last Saturday evening in exchange for another car (2002 M Roadster). It's been good chatting to ya'll (as they say down here in Texas). Keep on truckin'

2003 Toyota Celica gt-s
I'm almost 21, soon to be looking for a 2000-2001 SLK230. For now I'm driving a Toyota Celica gt-s.
My mom just got an SLK320 sport and it's so fun to drive.

not stock.
Passed down from the daddy when I turned 16! Turning 17 in april 17.
My second MB, had the first one (w126) when I was 14 in venezuela, and plan to keep it until im old or until it burns down.
Only thing hating on my slk is all the rattles, and being a 2001 with only 35K miles, it seems like in 2-3 more years the interior is going to fall apart.
I actually plan (when I finish with the first round of mods im doing right now) taking it to a place where they do custom stereo installs and have them dynamat ALL my interior and trunk.
and BTW, no im not a spoiled brat, I work alomost 30 hours per week with my parents and have been saving every penny since I was in 4th grade.
