HAHAHA THAT IS AWESOME!!! See i'm 20 and look like i'm 28 but I can see the anger in the faces from the older men who drive lesser automobiles.

MBWorld Fanatic!
The question was what is the AVERAGE age of the SLK owner. Has anyone computed that. I see ages as low as 17 and as high as 50 so the average age is about 34?

2000 Copper Sport Designo SLK230
Hi.
I am 43, male, live in Houston Texas.
Just bought my first MB.
Searched for near a year for this exact car!
2000 Copper Designo SLK230 w/ AMG rims.
It only has 16,500 miles on it!
This car gets the looks and respect like I have never known before!
I am looking for a MB club in Houston to join if there are any?
Thanks,
Brent

2001 SLK 320 Sport
Male -
Got my first one when I was 24 - '98 - Black / Black 230... Automatic at that time! AH! Loved the car but didn't like the automatic. And the engine was a little whimpy for my taste
. But I still loved her like she was my first.
Got my second one when I was 27 - '01 Red / Black / Sport / Manual 320... Love this one like a girlfriend too. Gotta say the upgraded engine, looks via the sport package and the manual were all nice improvements!

Interesting, they hit their target age demographic right on. I bought mine for my 40th birthday and I love the hell out of it. Funnest car I've ever had by leaps and bounds.

19 yr old male. I like my SLK230 but miss my faster cars that I lost because of tickets. I need more power in this thing. Will put a pulley and more to help with that.

2001 SLK 320
25 year old Male.
love the car. i park it in front of my window at work and gaze on it everyday. I love many things about my 2001 320. If I can't have another sports car in a few years I will get a MB, no question.

2001 SLK 32
20, male, I have a 2001 SLK 32 (silver), bought it myself, love it, mid range power is great and the tip tronic is one of the best i've ever driven, use to have a heavily modified 2000 Celica GT-S (manual 6 spd), loved that car but this thing turns way more heads stock with it's AMG body kit and the 19" carlsson wheels i have on it, and pulls so much better, no surprise soooo much more torque than my celica.

Got one of the very first cars delivered to States...in 1997. I was 45 then, does that count? I still have it, with 33K miles.
Also went to turin and saw the press preview in 1996.

I was 29 when I made my VERY FIRST vehicle purchase, my SLK 230 Kompressor! I had driven the same car for 13 years prior (since high school) and FINALLY made the move to buy a new car. I upgraded from a 91' Nissan Sentra to MY LOVELY 2001 SLK230 AMG Supercharged Kompressor. Not totally "NEW" but new to me!
I didn't even know that the SLK was a convertible until after the test drive when the salesperson asked if I was ready to put down the top?!! I said, "what? Well, of course!!" AND that was a done deal-- SOLD! I purchased an extended warranty (it had 50K miles) and have now owned it for a year and a half. I recently moved to the midwest and now must sell it due to lifestyle changes! SO SAD to see it go ...I get SO many head turns, especially out here in the midwest where driving a Mercedes-Benz is not so commonly found!
