What are some major issue that I should be concern about on the SLK230?

One of my friends are interested in purchasing a slk230. He would like to know is there anything he should look out for before getting one?

What age is it, Will? My 230 is 10 years old and rusty wheel arches are my biggest nuisance...

If the car was made after 2004 there is the facelift a corossion may occured above the rear number plates. It is obvious if you open the trunk and ckeck from it.
wow it's been 4 month since I've logged on. It's actually a slk320 2001 model.
