Car stutters under acceleration, sometimes dies
Hi guys! Not an SLK, but a CLK230, hoping yous may be able to help me out with it.
Recently, I've had a problem with the car (CLK230) stuttering under acceleration. Sometimes it just keeps stuttering, and the revs wont rise, so I back off for a second, other times it stutters for a second, and then accelerates away. I've had this problem before, but only when its been extremely warm outside. The last 2 days, after stopping, the car hasn't started for a little while, and then last night, the car actually died while driving, and then wouldn't start for an hour or so. Any ideas? Could it be the fuel pump?

SLK 230
look at the circut board
I had a similar problem and it was the circut board that controls the fuel system & ignition. Hair line cracks due the use of lead free soilder by Benz on these boards is a known issue. If this is the cause, either replace board or resoilder.
Search this section for additonal info on issue - it is where I found the info and how to repair it.

Bad MAF(disconnect to test)
Loose/bad spark plug(check)
K40 relay(inspect and replace/solder if needed)
Vacuum leak(check all lines, including behind cam cover and engine, and under battery tray), Flapper valve(replace... $$$)
