SLK/R170: SP1 Package

SP1 Package
My SLK was factory fitted with the SP1 package.
From what I can see, it has the:
- body kit
- 17in AMG rims
- AMG twin exhaust tips
Could these twin tips be a complete muffler or even a cat back system?
And did this package come with lowered springs at all?
Cheers

Do they call it SP1 in Australia, too? I thought that was just for US and Canadian cars.
Anyway, the sport package is called the "AMG Styling" package in most places outside north America.
In the USA, the package includes the body kit and the wheels, but the exhaust is not available at all.
In Germany, the package includes the body kit and the dual-tip exhuast, but the wheels are sold separately.
Only an expert from Australia could tell you if it came with lowering springs, but I think it's very unlikely. Even in Germany, AMG lowering springs were not available from the factory at all. They were a dealer-installed accessory. If you're interested, part number for the AMG lowering springs is B66030030. They cost about 300 Euros in Germany.
The twin-tips are part of the AMG cat-back exhaust system. The tips are welded on and the whole thing is one piece. FYI, the AMG cat-back system doesn't add any performance, but it does look nice and sounds a little better.

Actually Im not quite sure what they called the SP1 package here in Australia. It may have been called the "AMG Styling" package. I just called it the SP1 because I read about it on this forum
Here are a few pics.
I would say this is standard ride height. (ie. no lowered suspension, correct?)
Here are the twin tips the package came with.
front kit
cheers

yeah the photo actually makes it look a lot higher off the road than it really is. Maybe its the flash which really highlights the gap in the guards or the angle of the shot?
anyway, I do feel its in need of a lowering job.
