SLK/R170: SLK + TAHOE = Totaled
Do you have pictures of what happened to the Tahoe? What about the next car your going to get?
So many questions, if I get annoying just tell me
I hope your hand gets better, and remember, it was only a car, at least no lives were lost.
at the least, the cabin looks in good shape... a sign of good safety i guess...
i hope you get better... what exactly happened to ur hand?
As for a replacement, I hope to be driving my winter beater until spring and then start looking again. I would love to know exactly how many 2000 SLK Designo Copper Edition are in the country and if any are for sale. If i can't find another one I may go back to a 4x4, possibly a Chevy truck and get a Fiat spyder for the summer.
Thanks for the concern, i thought peope may want to know how a SLK takes on a front side collision. I think it did well all things considered.
Also, what should I do to make sure I get MB parts instead of generic brands. I am going to make a point to see reciepts for all parts. I also will make a point to have the entire car repainted so it all matches. It was in great shape before the crash, I want it back in the same condition.
I know of only 2 copper designos in New England, Mine and the one around Boston area. I have seen the Green Designo on 95 in RI too.

I was taking a left hand turn and this Tahoe came out of nowhere and destroyed my car and broke my hand. Here are some good pics of the destruction.
I hope you can find another SLK and bring it to the next Boston meet

Good luck man, sorry about what happened, again.

The insurance people left me a message today, the car has $12K in repairs, but that's not inspecting the engine or transmission. I wish these people would make a decision and stick with that.

Did I ever mention that MBUSA got back to me on how many MY2000 Designo Copper editions are in the states. MBUSA told me that there is 127 or less of these cars in the country.
So, they paid you $8K to keep your car??
Or they did the work for free??
I don't think I follow?
Thanks
