SLK Stock Windscreens
I recently purchased a stock SLK windscreen on Ebay.
The windscreen that was sent to me does not match
the picture of the item in the 1998 owners' manual,
and of course, does not "fit."
The seller said it came from a 2003 SLK.
Has the design of an SLK stock windscreen changed
over the past 5 years?
Will a 2003 SLK stock windscreen work for a 1998?

I contacted the parts' department of my local
MB dealer and he said that there is no difference
between the stock windscreen for the 1998 and
2003.
Can anyone else verify?

The windscreen did in fact change for the facelift (2001 model year in the USA). I believe the only difference is the outermost attach points, which changed from loops to snaps. I noticed this when I traded my '99 SLK230 for my '02 SLK32.

Let me know if you don't want your windscreen. I beleive it will fit the 2002 without any modifcation. Gwawrz@tds.net
