I know the wiper problem has been discussed here a lot. I have an 03 SLK230 with 2600 miles & 7 months old. Wipers were working with no problem but today in the rain at slow & interval speeds they were stuttering & where it hits the end of the sweep was leaving skid type marks on the glass. I tried cleaning the glass when I got home & noticed the spots at the end of the sweep the glass did not seem as smooth there while cleaning & felt like more friction. Also took a wet rag on the wiper blades & came up all black. Can it be time for new wipers so soon, also whats the best to clean & smooth the glass, I guess it is from the rubber.
