cd changer

Hi, I am having trouble getting the cd changer in my slk 230 to work. I changed the optics as was suggested so that the cd ones were connected at both the head unit and at the changer but still no luck. is there something else I need to do for the head unit to detect the radio. and which color end shouold the cables have some of the iptic fibres have red ends and som clear is red in or out ?

Reprogram

Head unit needs to be "reprogrammed" to talk with the CD changer. Best done by a dealer.

Reprogramming not needed.

I and many others have isntalled CD changers with no reprogramming of the head unit.

Visit here https://mbworld.org/forums/showthrea...0&pagenumber=2 for a schematic of the fiber optic connections that shows the red and white lenses. Note that this schematic is for an alternate location, but the principle is the same. Use a flashlight to confirm that you hve the connections correct.
