230slk cutting while driving.
the car is a 230slk on a 99 plate.my wife was driving the car,when it suddenly cut out.when the car stopped,she dried restarting the car.all dashboard lights were on.she turned the key to start the engine.nothing.not even a click.yet all the electric's was working.could it be a fuel pump issue.any feed back would be grateful.

My first impression was a major electrical failure in the starter circuit including the ECU. If it was the battery shorted there would be very little if any electrical activity. If it was the CPS the engine would crank.
