01 320 slk engine turns over right after that it stops
Lost electronic key and spare key turns ignition on but does not turn over. Remove cable fr battery tap 3 times on battery and it turns over but will not run. Any ideas? This is spare key I lost the electronic key.

The key should start the car as it turns over so I suspect 1 of 2 things.
These cars need a great battery. Not a decent one, A great battery
The second thing I suspect is the crankshaft position sensor. They fail with some regularity and typically open so there is no signal to the computer as to where the crank is and it cannot decide where to deliver fuel and spark so it does nothing. It could be something else I suppose but ...!
