SLK/R170: CAN BUS location

1998 SLK230
CAN BUS location
I have a 1998 SLK230. Lost CAN communication. Does anyone know where the wires for CAN BUS are soldered together? Every diagram I have seen show ME, IC, BAS, ECT, all joined together at what I would assume is a Z solder connection. But where is the question.

Not a solder connection. CANBUS junction connection into which each circuit plugs in. I do not know where the junction connector is located on your car but it can be located approximately using the locater feature in STAR/DAS/Xentry. Junction connector photo in link below.
