MAF Wiring Help Needed - 1999 SLK 230 (Rabbit Damage)
need help identifying the MAF sensor wiring on my 1999 SLK 230. A rabbit chewed through the harness, and I'm trying to repair it properly.
The situation: There is currently an aftermarket MAF with a pigtail connector that has 5 black wires that were spliced to the original 5 color-coded wires. Without being able to see the original wire colors at the MAF connector, I can't determine which wire goes where.
What I need: If anyone has a 1999 SLK 230 (M111 engine), could you post a picture of your MAF connector showing the wire colors? Alternatively, if you have access to a wiring diagram showing the MAF pinout and wire colors, that would be incredibly helpful.
I'd prefer to splice and repair the existing wiring rather than replace the entire harness if possible.

I solved this problem with some help from AI. The wiring pinout is:
Pin #1: Yellow/Green
Pin #2: Red/Blue (Battery Voltage - 12V)
Pin #3: Brown or Tan (Ground)
Pin #4: Brown/Yellow (5V Reference)
Pin #5: Yellow/White (MAF Signal Output)
Look for the pin numbers on the plug.
Once it was re-wired the codes went away and I'm back in business.
