M roadster to SLK350
Im considering selling my Mroadster in favor of an EDP SLK ( when it restarts)
Heres my issue. Im trying to get over the fact that the SLK is slower. Not by much....and I never race the M, Im hung up on the fact that its slower. No i dont want an AMG its looks bother me, too much fluff.
Anyway, I have loved the look of the SLK since I found the artists drawings years ago. I know I dont need the speed, but I seem to think I need a 11sec car

what do they do? As you can tell from my sig Im not a stranger to the modifying world.
I drove an auto and it seemed a bit lacking in the torque, although that could be b/c there was no squat like the BMW. Also it was a ROCK in the corners. Oh im not a huge fan of a LOUD exhuast, its just stupid on a car of the MB, BMW status. No Im not a badge buyer, but I Know full well the c5 and C6 vettes are gonna smoke me and sounding like a wannabe muscle car just makes them laugh harder.
I enjoyed the steering and feel of the MB so much better, again it seemed like the BMW was a lot more tossable with tires that cant WAIT to break.

J10B,
The Bimmer def. is a lot more tossable than the 350. I've had my 97 2.8l for about 7 years now. The 350 is much more solid in corners or sweeping turns where the road isn't too smooth; you don't have that uneasy feeling that the back end will let loose on you on a bump. Then again, it all depends on who you talk to.... I love the Z3's go-kart feeling

I like the solid feel of the launch edition i drove. It just seemed to not fling me back in the seat as much as the M.
Im selling the M for 20k NEG, 75k in perfect condition, if someones interested.
