It's been pretty rainy/stormy here all week, and the one time I did get the car out, I didn't notice it after I'd moved the passenger seat up a bit upon the recommendation of an earlier poster. I won't be convinced it's gone yet until I get back out on a similar road surface to see if it still rattles. I'm keeping my fingers crossed, though.

Someone may have already suggested this, but check the seat belt buckle. A lot of people have complained that if it's not positioned just right it will rattle like hell. It happened to me after I went out with the wife. I couldn't pinpoint it, but it was driving me nuts. After reading a post, I realized it was the seat belt buckle. I just raised it up and it stopped.

That was the first thing I tried, too. That cured the thump from the buckle hitting the side wall. The other noise I heard was a bit higher pitched and tinny, if that makes any sense.

Heck, I wish it would stop storming here so I could even have the opportunity to get the car out of the garage to hear a rattle.

I had the same issue when passenger seat was too far back, but mine are manual so I'm not sure it's the same thing...

Finally got a non-stormy day today, and I'm here to report the passenger seat had no rattles with the seatback moved away from the back panel. Not on any kind of road surface. Many thanks to the previous poster with the heads-up to move the seatback up a bit.
