SLK/R171 SLK280 or SLK300 coming this summer?

SLK280 or SLK300 coming this summer?

I've read that there will be a SLK280 or is it SLK300 coming this summer. Should start around 38k + options. Anyone know more information?

SLK280 was on display at the NY Auto show.
It will slot under the SLK350 as the entry level model in the US.
It has a new 3.0 Litre engine with ~230hp if I am not mistaken.

yep...3.0L V6 putting out 231HP, dubbed the SLK280

200K - soon to die?

My my I bet all those people who rushed out to get the first SLK 200's are really kicking themselves to be left with such an underpowered machine...

SLK 230

Fuel economy...

I wonder what the fuel economy is for that vehicle...and i wonder if this means they are going to bring in more lower to mid range SLs?

sounds good....i might look into that, same power of my car more or less and with the slk looks...not to mention less $$$!!, but isnt this only about 30hp less than the 350 why would they do this??
