Just got back from picking my car up in Germany, and driving throughout Provence and the Dordogne in France. (Fantastic Trip! Do not even consider such a thing without the navigation system. Either that, or plan on a divorce when you get back.)

Spent a great deal of time looking for a way to pause a CD or an MP3. I could not find anything in the manual-- either the main manual or the Command manual. Is there no way to do this? If you want to pause a song to have a conversation, or do something like pay a toll (which you do a lot of in France), there does not seem to be any way. You just have to let it play.

Am I missing it, or has someone discovered a way to do it?

So the Mute button actually pauses the song on the CD or MP3? It doesn't just mute the audio as the disc continues to play?

That is correct. Mute button pauses CD or MP3. Watch the time elapsed next time you hit it.
