Heated Steering Wheel

Anyone got this? I wonder if it heats up once u started it tho. If it does, then $460CAD is a good deal to keep the hands warm during winter here in Canada. Otherwise, if it takes as long as the heated seats to warm up (which i figured from most other cars that ur body have actually warmed it up b4 the seats warmed up themselves), then i wun bother.

The heated steering wheels do work well, not as fast as you would like them to,but not nearly as slow as heated seats. Be carefull though-I dont know if the slk has the option for a wood steering wheel, but if it does-the wooden part of the steering wheel is NOT heated.

...because those have shifter wiring going through the steering wheel...shifter wiring AND heating wiring apparently doesn't go together...

greetingz,
interesting...if that's the case then the option should neither be available on 350 w/ AMG package right? just wondering coz the official configurator doesn't block this option when sports package is selected.

Not available in the US at all. I thought I was spoiled when I got used to heated seats, which all my cars have except the Jaguar (isn't that strange? not available then). The heated steering wheel is about as spoiled as I can imagine. I LOVE it... can't wait to get a car with a heated steering wheel!!! Buy it!!!

Mercedes all the way!
haha, and then there's the heated air-scarf :P

well, i'd imagine the heater will be quite useful on the 55AMG seeing how cold your hands will be after a run in one of those babies

In Arizona, all our steering wheels are heated. A lot! :v
