The Magic of MBenzNL ... Navigation and Sound upgrade
Many thanks to Steve for coming to Australia to do some work on local cars. The short trip and large number of cars to be worked on meant that the social opportunity wasnt there but I do hope that Australian drivers will place more orders in the future and get Steve to come back.
Before and during shown ..... we all know what after looks like .... superb.

Unlike you lot, we didn't get "freedom" from "mother England" until 1901, so we're much like Britain in many respects.

G'day Steve,
Thanks, I've been lurking here for while; this R171 forum just isn't as active as the BenzWorld one.
It was nice to meet you. Thanks again for the fantastic job on my car. I hope you enjoyed your brief stay in Australia, and that you have a safe trip home.
Cheers,
---Julian

All you can see is 2 speaker badges and Euro head unit. In the trunk a navigation drive.
The most important part of the job is the "during" to let you know this is no small task.

Looks good - that is all I wanted to see. Shows that Steve's work is quality. Steve, can I have some of your frequent flyer miles?

TV Tuner CLK 55 AMG 2006
Hi everybody, I am a new member from Australia, Brisbane. I am lead to believe that MBenzNL (Steve) you maybe able to help me. The new CLK (convertable) I am buying has NAV/Comand but no TV ( DVB-t or Analog), as it is not available in Australia at this point in time. As it is available in England can you tell me what, when & how I can go about getting it installed.

As of mid-2006 the TV option can be ordered again. Till then it can only be installed by someone who has the correct parts.
By all means place an order with Steve. I can predict that it will be more than factory so if you want something else added at the same time you will save a large sum of money on labour as the type of work in the TV tuner job makes the car ready to accept many other options for the cost of the parts only.
i.e. Linguatronic, iPOD kit, dimming mirrors, folding mirrors, rear screens in back of headrest , MP4 / DIVX player, DVD player and so on.
Bear in mind that DVD playback and TV in motion are not enabled in CLK and C and so far I have seen no proof it is possible.
