Has anyone replaced/removed their shift knob? I have a Prestige knob that I want to install....please help

 

Auto or manual? If Auto, pull up and twist, that's what I've read. I haven't been able to find any shift knobs for the manuals yet. Anybody know where I can get one?

 

I actually figured it out....
1. Pull up gently on the leather boot on all 4 corners where it attaches to the console. (may require some 'gentle' tugging)
2. Once loosened from the console, pull the boot inside out over the knob
3. Pull upwards until the knob comes off - important - it is NOT a screw on, it is a push on
4. Turn the plastic piece about a quarter turn, this will release it from the top ring
5. gently pull the leather boot out from the top ring.
6. Install your new knob
7 Go in reverse to put it back together.
