SLK/R171: 2007 Pricing Out
I've had a 2007 SLK350 on order for a month now. I just received the
pricing for it:
Item MSRP
SLK350 $47,400
541 Storm Red $ 700
875 Beige Leather NC
A15 15 day Euro Ins NC
P01 P1 Premium Pkg $2,250
R35 Std. Wheels NC
280 Leather Str Wheel NC
319 Light Pkg $1,000
323 Heat Pkg $ 970
427 7-Speed Trans $1,430
535 Radio Audio 20 NC
619 Cornering Fog Lamps NC
820 Factory Delivery NC
I take the following from this:
1) Base price of car dropped about $325.
2) Cornering fog lamps now standard
3) Comfort package combined with Premium pkg. Sirius radio added,
and auto climate control dropped.
4) Auto climate control sold separately? Not positive on this.
5) Several option prices increased by $10 - $30 each. Auto trans went
from $1410 in 2006 to $1430 in 2007.
Bottom line is I get a 2007 model SLK350 with several items of the old
premium package ( infrared wipers, interior lights, Homelink thing,
infrared remote control, etc ) for about $700 more than the 2006 prices.
I wasn't going to order the Premium PKG. Now I don't have a choice.
But, given the small increases in pricing I'm seeing, I'm not complaining.
One question: my purchase order shows Registration Year as 2007-1.
What does the -1 mean?
Thanks,
Mike
I work at Honeywell International...and our manufacturing schedule also have end of quarter deadlines (in fact it was last week).
I assume its the same for car manufacturers...
