(ok, I'm going to post in my own thread again... sorry, I am just excited...)
I was reading that the SLK with automatic shifter, can be pressed to the left for a second to get the correct gear selection for a burst of speed... apparently, this is good for lane changes and such...
I didn't know about this before, so I didn't try it during my 2006 model test drive... I only tried shifting left and right using the +/- manual override... I'm assuming it's the same on the 2007 model I ordered...?
do you guys use this often, is it as cool as it sounds?
or am i just getting excited over nothing?

The bad news for you is that you should probably drive the car in "C" for the first thousand miles and not use this feature as it tends to raise the RPM higher than one wants during break-in.

The Digital Dual Zone Climate Control is a $710 option. Description: 100 percent CFC-free digital dual-zone automatic climate control with adjustable high-flow/low-draft vents.
Aside from looking cool I was told it was more accurate by fellow members.
Future owner (October) of a SLK55...good luck and enjoy.

Gotta stop by the dealership this weekend to pick up the 07 brochure... I only have the 05 and 06 versions... is there a PDF version online somewhere?

Not sure what that post was about^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
The lexan windscreen was never included. The fabric one, which is less effective and uglier, used to be free. No longer is that the case.
I don't think there is any power differences with exception of US vs Euro spec cars.

Yeah , I am with you on that DSB. I think that post could be from Voize using a new ID. Maybe someone can check the IP address.

Actually, it seems like it's a new member named "carnutess" who knows a thing or two about the 2007 model, and also has a brochure for it..
Also, I think carnutess is a female and Voize is a guy.

Hi again, you crazy hot-rodders!
Checked it out, more 06/07 slk diffs......if you've got a chunky girl friend then she'll be alright, but if not (like lil'ol me) then the seat bottom sensor won't trigger, and she'll mess up her makeup when you happen to miss that brake pedal, again!
Ya, the frnt passenger air bag is automatically disabled for 07 in case there's a baby or child or box of donuts up there. Not bad, not bad at all, those toots think of everything!
Question for ya, anyone know, can you (could you ever) get the airscarf with the 55 amg, with or without the sport seats? Far as I can tell it only comes with the slow pokes, 280 & 350.

Ya, but do any members actually have a 55amg WITH the airscarf? If so which year? If you look at the photos in the brochures, the amg seats are of a different style and shape, and none have the opening far as i can tell.
Also, if you look in the 07 book, this option is combined with heated seats, and printed in parens is (only slk 280/350). I seriosly doubt they were ever combined if you cant get em together next season.
One more difference, a new indiv option is the dual zone climate control, i think thats what they call it. An option for all cars.
Far as the windblock goes, I see no sign of either a cloth of plexi in the brochure. Maybe what they do is provide one as std but dont mention it coz its attached semi-permanantly, just grabing at straws.
Say, let me know ok boys, anyone out there got an slk55 with the neck warmer?
