Will these wheels fit on a 280

255/40/18 for the front
285/35/18 for the rear
39 offset.

OR:
Front: 255/40-18 with offset of +30.
Rear: 285/35-18 with offset of +33

I know they are too wide, just checking. What is the widest that I can fit without any mods..

Thanks!

285 will NOT fit, 265 barely fit with the correct offset, 255 will probably fit in the front but will stick out a bit, not very sporty looking, very lowriderish.

FYI,

stock slk55 is
225/40/18
245/35/18

On the rear, I managed to get 265/35 squeezed on the factory wheel which is 18x8.5. It only rubs when the spring is completely compressed driving up my steep driveway. BTW, my car has Brabus springs so it may not have rubbed with the factory springs. On the front, I think some have gone with 235/40. Do a search to make sure.

Lastly, don't go too far from the factory diameter. The sizes you suggest would greatly affect your speedometer.
