Thanks for these TSB's. Very helpful.

In checking the serial numbers affected by the navigation system, I apparently need to know whether my car is a 171.454, a 171.456, or a 171.473.

How do I find this out?

i believe you check the last 7 digits of your vin to see if you fall in the range. i personally do not know the diff between 171.454, a 171.456, or a 171.473. but someone should chime in shortly.

The serial numbers for the three different 171 models overlap, over most of the ranges listed. So I surmise that you really need to know which model you have.

Does anyone know how to tell if you have a 171.454, 171.456, or 171.473? It is not imbedded in the rest of the VIN.
