SLK/R171: Any info on the '08 SLK?

Any info on the '08 SLK?
I know I posted the same question a few months back however I just thought I'd see if anyone had any definitive info as to what changes are scheduled for the '08 SLK. As I'm planning a factory delivery next summer, my order will be just about on the cut off between the model years. As MB has a tendency to do mid-life model updates, that would mean the '08 SLK is about due for one. It would be nice to have an idea what is involved in case I want to order earlier and get an '07 instead.

Not sure what specific changes are planned. I would suggest holding off for the 2008. I'm sure you can expect an increase for the 2008 model, but I'd still go with the 2008.

Just a guess, but of course the usual lights, bumpers, wheels changes and a SLK63 AMG model to replace the SLK55. It is possible the 08' SLK350 will get the direct-injection 292hp (288hp in the U.S) CGI version of the 3.5L V6. I can't see much more than that. The interior is already of high quality so there isn't much to do there, but of course they'll change some trim around and likely add some features. Maybe a Panorama roof or something too.

I'm always curious about the engine and interior changes more than anything. I wonder if the SLK350 and C350, both new and/or refreshed for 2008 will get the CGI (direct-injection) version of the 3.5L V6 with 292hp? With BMW, Lexus and Infiniti all pushing 300+ hp in their sedans, the new C350 can't afford to keep that 268hp rating much longer and the SLK shares that engine so.......
