Although I'm not an owner, I had the pleasure of driving a SLK350 on Sunday. It was a beautiful 6 speed owned by a very nice gentlemen SLKRoy who while my car was getting worked on was nice enough to give me a ride home. Now I know how lucky you guys are in driving the cars that you do. Very smooth power and incredible handling, the brakes very responsive and the suspension really plants the car to the road on turns. Very very nice car. By the way I'm 35

We've been having a particularly difficult winter this year. We've had more than the normal amount of snow and the temperatures have been right around freezing for long periods. The results is that the pavement is in quite bad condition with a great many pot holes. Even if the streets are dry I'm not about to risk wheel and tire damage until the holes are filled by the local road crews. We also have huge amounts of road salt to deal with. I can't bear to subject my SLK to these conditions.

As long as the road is dry, I drive it.
I am taking good care of my cars, but I don't baby them. The car made to be driven. I paid for it, and I am going to enjoy.
