GOODBYE SLK350 hello 09 bmw135i

i am a huge fan of mercedes....i have been for a long time.....my family has been through many series of benz's and there is nothing against them....my slk350 is a pleasure to drive it is a head turner and ladys really love it....unfortunately the car cant be modified enough to have real return for value.... i test drove the 135i and was amazed.....it is most definately quicker....i scared the salesman, who i warned that in choosing the bmw, it would be based soley on the performance....so he gave me the ok to juice my adrenaline gland....i was on the feeder and could not help but keep the accelerator floored, until i was already basically passing 110 and then i saw him getting real nervous...this all was so fast that i couldnt really tell how fast it was...so i made a left under the freeway to give it another go andsure enough the results were just as amazing.....the brakes and stance feel very similar in the handling and all but the bmw is still a better performer.....benzs just are classier, but for $$ bmw is the route to go...until mercedes makes their engines more tuner inclined, the market leaders will continue to be audi and bmw.....mercedes makes their profits for their S class skyhigh price tag and the C base models excellent safety efficiency etc.....

BACK TO THE Story where i hauled *** under the overpass in the 135i .....the slk wins in this category.....and the slk350 under an expressway with the 7g in third letting the throttle open up and getting the raddest exhuasts echo and everyone turns thinking its an slr for those who arent familiar....hahah anyway im going on and on...but i just wanted to let everyone know and show them what the car will look like....and opinions
i know it is considered a step down in one aspect....but performance oriented this is the way to go as the 135i has the twin turbo set up and can be easilly tuned...

this is the exact way my car will look

BMW 135i's looks just don't do it for me, and I picked up my SLK because I like topless driving.

If you are looking for raw speed, and the ability to mod the car to hell and back again, why even do the BMW? You'll get blown away by Evo's all day long. Granted, they look like crap, but hey - they are fast as siht and mods are endless. You could even get a '06 SLK-55 for around $35k - sounds better than just about anything, and you can always Kleemann-ize it.

At the end of the day, it's about what makes you happy - pick the one you like.

SLK 350
Believe it or not, me and another SLK 350 had run with a friend's 135i. From 0-60, 135i will smoke 350, but it actually doesn't have too much different after passing 60. It's due to the NA vs turbo engine power range and aerodymanic plays the rule at the high speed.

135i is just not my cup of tea, that's why we have a 08 328xi right next to the SLK in my garage.

Hey, as we all said... whatever makes you happy

One word to describe the BMW 135i, cute. My question, will it be taken seriously. Several words come to mind, entry level, baby BMW, BMW for teens. Not for me. For that kind of money, I'd pay more for a three series coupe.

my opinion...sure its fast but it looks TOO small and unattractive to spend that kind of $$ on...I'd be happy with just getting a used 335xi coupe same engine, much nicer looking

agree 110%, I thought it was going to be in the mid 20's but it's nearly as much as a 335i, I would spend a little more and get the 3-series instead.
