Yes and no iamtcute - it will "fit", but there are a bunch of additional pieces that are required that are not included in the kit, specifically for the front and rear bumpers.

The impact foam, fog lights, and grills have all changed, as well as the grill itself. I suspect you could reuse the "old" grill, but given the change in the "depth" of the F1 nose bit, you may run into problems.

... just wondering, doesnt the 04 slk carries a different body style? our R171 was introduced in 2005, not 2004.. i doubt that 09 bumper will fit..

Hie moon..As far I know in my country r171 start selling in the year of 04 so..yes we have r171 in year 04 where else r170 only till 03 in my country...

R171 was introduced by MB in mid 2004, some countries didn't get it until late 2004, so called it a "2005".

UK-C200 is correct. The R-171 was introduced in Europe earlier in 2004 with that year designation. It arrived in October 2004 in the US as a 2005 model.
