Help with '05 or '06 SLK info
I'm trying to find a good site that details the name of the packages and what was included in each option for '05 through '06 SLK 350 and SLK55. Sites like Edmunds are too generic--they don't tell you what was included in a package like Premium, Lighting, etc. Can anyone help or post info? Anyone have their old 2005 or 2006 SLK brochure? Thanks!

if you head over to slkworld.com, and supply your vin number, one of our members has access to a database that might get you the info you need.

Thanks guys! That will be helpful when I get down to a specific vehicle. Right now I'm still shopping and what I'm looking for is a resource that tells me what packages were available and what it included. So for example, when I see a car listed that says it includes "Sport Package", I know that a sport package included suspension change, wheel change, body molding, etc.

Maybe someone can also tell me if there were any changes between '05 and '06 years, specifically with 350 or 55 series.

how about you go to autotrader.com. search slk 350s etc. they list their options. they also list the vin number. take the vin number to slkworld.com and ask for the options included to compliment what the seller is stating. also, come visit us at slkworld.com or benzworld.org and repost your questions there for wider responses!

also try 'search this forum' here and at those other sites. you'll be surprised by the 'hits'.

and there were no changes between 05-08. they might have changed the side panel material in 07.

I like that idea, good way to check that you're getting what the seller is promising too! Hopefully I'll be adding an SLK to the stable soon and joining you fine fellows on slkworld

I went into the local dealership to test drive an SLK350 and the person helping me was kind enough to loan me a 2005 brochure. Thanks all for your helpful advice!

Cool, both the 2005 and 2006 are posted over at slkworld - and you can wander over before you get the car, most of us don't bite. Also a model year vs model year comparison as well.

Also, word of warning, driving a FL '350 is a different car that a pre-FL '350 - that extra 25HP makes a difference....
