SLK Remote Start now available

We just finished testing our Smartkey Starter with the SLK model line (2004- current) and they work beautifully. Here is demo video off the system...

Wow, that's pretty cool...I bet it took a lot of work and testing to get that working.

Just an update... we finally got ahold of one of the rare manual transmision SLK's and installed our smartkey starter. Everything works beautifully but it does require that a special interlock switch is installed that only allows the vehicle to remote start if the gearshift is placed in the neutral position and the parking brake is set.. (this ensures that the vehicle does not drive off when remote started). We have special kits available for anyone interested in installing our smartkey starter into a manual transmission R171 SLK.

Call our offices at 312.421.1114 or send an email to sales@midcityengineering.com for more info...

Eddie, I dono why but midcity engineering totally ignore me. So never got any communication back form them. Probably most lest communicable company in the world. Anyway I will buy their unit of ebay just so i dont need to freeze this winter and later on we will just manufacturer our own all in one controller so MB roadsters to handle all adds ons such as remote start, phone remote start, roof, windows controller amd radar detector. Kinda good to own my own automotive R&D company
