Squealing sound after cold starts only
I'm hearing a squealing sound coming from the engine bay after cold starts. The sound eventually goes away completely as the engine reaches operating temperature. I made an appointment with the dealership to have them check it out but they don't have any available times for 10 days.
Any idea what could be causing the sound? Is it safe to drive for 10 days while I wait for my appointment? The car drives perfectly fine, aside from the noise in the morning after sitting over night.
Also:
- Located in Hawaii, temperature is in the 70s(F) so cold temperature isn't an issue
- 2007 SLK280
- The sound does not seem to increase with revs (in fact it seems to go away with more revs, but that could just be road noise hiding the sound)
- Sound started the morning after an Auto-X event (have had multiple events with the car and no problems until now, not sure if related)
- Approx. 31,000 miles
- Service A done within the past month
Thanks!

Here's a video I took to give a better idea of the sound. It starts at around 0:29 and gets louder closer to the 1 minute mark.

MarkR171, does the sound seem to come from a specific area of the engine? There have been numerous members that have had idler pulleys replaced. Also I'd check the belts. That's one of the areas that often generates noises.
