AMG sports package for slk350

I am deciding wether or not to add the sports package on to my SLK350. I have already ordered the sports suspension and AMG wheels, but cant seem to find any pictures of an SLK with the complete package.
If anyone knows where I could find some, or even post some here, I would appreciate it..

Also any idea of the extra cost for the UK?

Not worth the cash IMO. Get a real SLK55 if you really want the look.

Anthony, I think you have made the right decision to add sports supension and wheels but I dont think bodykit is worth the extra.

I'd suggest adding the AMG style side skirts though which you can get through the parts department. IMHO they are the most evident and attractive part of the AMG styling upgrade anyway.

In the US on the current SLK they run about $600 for each side. They snap on so no biggie with regard to installation. Have to be painted though so that could add some additional cost. (You will note that the front treatment on the AMG package is NOT similar to the real AMG as it does not have the vertical slits on each side. The rear treatment on the AMG package is NOT similar to the real AMG either as it does not have the spoiler that comes with the SLK55.)

not for me - IMHO I think they look terrible, as if the side skirt has been kerbed.

Would welcome someone photoshopping just the AMG side skirts onto the SLK350 to get a better idea of what the resulting vehicle would look like.

Side skirts alone - whats the point? The side skirt "slash" only works as it integrates with the rear bumper (as it has on the last x AMG body kits).

Suggestion:

Either

a). get a 55 AMG
b). get a 350 in a dark colour (e.g Obsidian) with AMG 18" wheels so you can't tell its got the girly standard bumpers/skirts.

Depends what the package costs. A few grand I'd agree go for the package. Over $5000 though it is a rip off and you will never get that back on resale.

I have seen an SLK in black and aggressive is one of the last words I would use to describe it.

ok, aggresive was a bad word. Some of the pics I have seen have looked a bit bland, but they are mostly on 200's with standard wheels.
I think with the AMG wheels I have, that will be sorted out and I dont have to go all out on the body kit. The car is already costing me 43.5 (GBP) and any further outlay, well i may as well buy the AMG.
Though at the age of 27, with 9 points on my liscence, thats not currently an option...

Well I see some of you are in good company in questioning the effect of the AMG style side skirts on the SLK. June Automobile issue also thought they look more like something resulting from an accident. OH well, guess we will just have to see them in person.

SL Boy has a point about the new SLK in black.

I had an old SLK320 in obsidian with AMGs, and that looked great, and I've currently got an SL350 in obsidian with AMGs, which also looks great (IMO). I'm really not sure about the new SLK in obsidian though - I'm not sure it works as you loose some of the other styling detail due to the lack of contrast.

If I was tempted with a 350, I'd plump for AMG wheels and probably go cubanite, with the beige/black trim and some nice light wood (chestnuty, not walnut). With a 200, I'd save some cash and go for the prettiest 17"ers.

With real AMG cars, I've always felt silver or obsidian was the only way to go. I'm not so sure with the SLK though. SLK55 wise, its either going to be iridium or cubanite with either full black or maybe the black/grey nappa. Red interior - residual no-no!

I've always thought Cubanite AMGs are cool, but a bit of a residual grey area! (no pun intended). Any thoughts?

New 911 - verdict?

I'm not so sure it works as well as the current 4S. Maybe its the colour. The interior doesn't look like much of a step forward either.

Slightly dissappointed - opportunity missed?
